Periodic renewal of FSSAI food license required before expiry to continue food business operations legally.
FSSAI License (Registration/State/Central) must be renewed before its expiry date to continue food business operations without interruption. The renewal process can be initiated 30-60 days before expiry on the FoSCoS portal. Late renewal attracts penalties. After expiry, a grace period of up to 1 year may be available with additional late fee.
Log in to FoSCoS portal → Navigate to renewal section → Update business and product details → Pay the renewal fee for desired validity period → Download renewed certificate
