About the Scheme

PM-SYM is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for unorganized workers. The subscriber contributes based on their age at entry (₹55-₹200/month) and the government makes an equal matching contribution. After reaching 60 years, the subscriber receives ₹3,000 per month pension. If the subscriber dies, the spouse receives 50% of the pension.

Eligibility Criteria

• 1Unorganized worker aged 18-40 years
• 2Monthly income not exceeding ₹15,000
• 3Not covered under any other social security scheme
• 4Should not be an income tax payer
• 5Must have Aadhaar, Savings Bank Account, and Mobile number
