About the Scheme

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was launched on 13 February 2024 to provide free electricity up to 300 units per month to 1 crore households through rooftop solarisation. Subsidy of 40% for systems up to 3 kW and 20% for systems 3-10 kW. The total outlay is ₹75,021 crore.
