About the Scheme

Udyam Registration is the new process for MSME registration launched on 1st July 2020, replacing the old Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum. It is a free, paperless, online registration based on self-declaration. No documents or proofs are required. Investment in plant & machinery and turnover determine the category: Micro (up to ₹1 Cr investment, up to ₹5 Cr turnover), Small (up to ₹10 Cr investment, up to ₹50 Cr turnover), Medium (up to ₹50 Cr investment, up to ₹250 Cr turnover).

Eligibility Criteria

• 1Any entity engaged in manufacturing or service
• 2Based on investment in plant & machinery/equipment and turnover
• 3Micro: Investment ≤ ₹1 Cr, Turnover ≤ ₹5 Cr
• 4Small: Investment ≤ ₹10 Cr, Turnover ≤ ₹50 Cr
• 5Medium: Investment ≤ ₹50 Cr, Turnover ≤ ₹250 Cr
